DDC (direct digital controls) and BAS (building automation systems) are systems which are used to control the environment inside a building. The DDC system is generally referring to the control system for the HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) systems. The BAS system is generally referring to DDC plus any other systems which may being monitored and or controlled via the same network. This may or may not include lighting, building access, fire alarm system, energy power monitoring, security, automatic signage and other systems.
